Justizvollzug und Wiedereingliederung Justizvollzugsanstalt Pöschwies Head of Laundry 80 - 100% With around 1'400 employees, Justizvollzug und Wiedereingliederung (JuWe) is responsible for the execution of sentences and measures as well as for the implementation of various types of detention. Our employees from around 40 professions support and promote the reintegration of convicted people and commit themselves effectively and progressively to a safe and just society. The Justizvollzugsanstalt Pöschwies (JVA) is one of eight main departments of JuWe. With around 400 detention places, it is the largest closed correctional facility in Switzerland for convicted men. It fulfills a central state task and, according to its legal mandate, contributes to the protection of the general public while simultaneously creating the prerequisites for the resocialization of the admitted persons. For our internal laundry, we are looking for an engaged leadership personality with a passion for organization and working with people, starting immediately or by arrangement. Together with your team and the assigned admitted persons, you ensure smooth operations and actively develop the laundry further. Your tasks * You organize and control the operation of the internal laundry and ensure smooth processes in daily business * Together with three employees, you lead and further develop your team. You provide technical leadership to the assigned admitted persons, accompanying and promoting them in their daily work * You plan the daily assignments and ensure compliance with quality, hygiene, and safety standards * You procure textiles, detergents, and other operating resources according to need, while keeping economic and ecological aspects in view * You ensure the operational readiness of the laundry facilities and the machine park and coordinate their care, maintenance, and repair * With your eye for improvements, you further develop workflows and processes and implement optimization and development projects What you bring with you * Completed training as a Fachperson Textilpflege EFZ or a comparable vocational training as well as several years of professional and leadership experience * An independent, structured, and solution-oriented way of working as well as the ability to maintain an overview even in demanding situations * With your clear and respectful communication, you appear sovereign even in demanding situations * Physical and mental resilience, sense of responsibility, and enjoyment of working in a team * Very good German language skills in spoken and written form as well as confident handling of common Microsoft Office programs; further language skills are an advantage * Readiness for professional further training as well as for the mandatory work-study training to become a Fachperson für Justizvollzug mit eidg.
