The Olten social region provides services in the field of statutory social work for the city of Olten as well as for the municipalities of Trimbach, Winznau, Wisen and Hauenstein-Ifenthal.

Working for the Olten social region means a meaningful mission focused on supporting people in precarious situations. A committed specialist team, a well-developed administration, as well as an internal legal service support you in the demanding and varied daily management.

For the team management in ordinary social assistance / refugee social assistance, we are looking for, by agreement, a committed and experienced specialist as a social worker social assistance with team leader function (at least 60%).

About us:

The Olten social region provides financial assistance and social support to people requiring economic social assistance or when a guardianship is established due to a need for protection. Statutory social work is carried out on the basis of the cantonal law on social assistance or on the basis of the Civil Code (guardianships). The values of social work constitute the basis of collaboration with clients.

Tasks

Your tasks in social work

• Statutory social work according to the cantonal law on social assistance
• Support for people in vulnerable situations and development of a methodical assistance planning
• Verification of financial rights and benefits; calculation and payment of maintenance and other (needs-based) benefits
• Reporting to the competent authority as well as professional documentation of cases
• Close collaboration with specialist services, authorities, insurance companies and other third parties

Your tasks in team management

• You support employees in complex cases and professional questions
• You ensure with your team quality, efficient and equitable advice
• You work in close collaboration with the management of the social service and support the development of professional processes and standards

Expectations

• Tertiary diploma in social work or related discipline
• You possess solid professional experience in economic social assistance
• You wish to take your first professional step towards a management function
• You convince with your clarity, reliability and communication skills
