Spitex - Student Nursing HF in the field of Psychiatry

We at Spitex Uster, a business area of the Stadt Uster, are looking for committed colleagues who want to work with us to ensure and advance outpatient care, supervision, and support for approximately 40’500 inhabitants in the Stadt Uster and the municipality of Mönchaltorf.

Our range of services includes both somatic and psychiatric nursing, counseling, domestic help and care, as well as the Spitex-Shop. In addition, we are a training and internship location and a member of the training cooperation Gesundheitsmeile Uster. Our mission is to improve the quality of life of our clients through professional, caring, and individual nursing, care, and support in the household. With our help, clients can remain in their familiar environment or return home earlier after an inpatient stay.

Your main tasks

• Learning and independently performing psychiatric nursing and caregiving tasks for our clients, whereby you always pay attention to their individual needs and available resources
• Learning the nursing process, the creation of a nursing plan, and the goal-oriented implementation of nursing measures under professional guidance
• Instruction, counseling, and support for psychologically burdened children, adolescents, and adults with psychiatric clinical pictures and their relatives

What you bring with you

• For the 3-year HF nursing training in psychiatry, a completed FaGe training with a focus on psychiatry
• For the shortened training (2 years), a FaGe apprenticeship completion with a minimum grade of 5 and a focus on psychiatry
• A passed aptitude test at the ZAG or CBZ
• Personal skills, a high degree of initiative and independence, psychological and physical resilience, as well as very good observation, decision-making, and reflection skills
• optionally your own car (mileage compensation by Spitex) or a Category B driver's license
