Head of Finance / CFO at Circus Knie "Step right in"; an extremely exciting activity in a unique environment awaits you here! Our client is Gebrüder Knie, National-Circus AG, based in Rapperswil. Circus Knie has existed for over 100 years. The Knie dynasty looks back on a history of over 200 years and is one of the leading circus companies in Europe, known for its cross-generational entertainment. With its current circus program, the children's zoo, and 250 employees plus 60-80 artists seasonally, Circus Knie is successfully operating in its 7th generation and is structurally well-positioned. We are commissioned to approach a Head of Finance / CFO in connection with the departure of the long-standing job holder at the end of 2026 or by arrangement. In this function, as a member of the executive management, you are responsible for the operational and strategic tasks in finance and accounting, supported by a powerful team of five employees. This includes budgeting, management accounting, all financial statements, and investment and liquidity planning. You are responsible for reporting to the Board of Directors and the Executive Management and contribute proactively. Furthermore, you act as a trusted person in overarching financial matters for the Executive Management and the Knie family – in doing so, you take on the role of a business sparring partner, whether in real estate, investment, tax, or other questions. To this end, you have an entrepreneurial, open mindset based on a university or college degree with specialization in the field of finance / accounting. We require proficiency in closing according to OR and comparable financial management experience with forward-looking action. Additionally, you have experience in dealing and collaborating with family companies, with an understanding of good governance, cooperative leadership, and solution-oriented thinking and acting. You are flexible and resilient, empathetic and at the same time assertive, and can empathize as a financial conscience into a seasonal business!
