What awaits you

• You design, develop, and operate scalable ETL and ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data
• You develop robust data processing solutions with Python, SQL, and frameworks such as PySpark or Pandas
• You design and optimize Data Lakes, Cloud Data Warehouses, and data models for analytics and machine learning applications
• You automate workflows and batch processes with orchestration technologies such as Apache Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, or AWS Step Functions
• You implement automated quality controls and ensure the secure, correct, and traceable processing of customer, financial, and insurance data
• You optimize queries, storage, and computing power and balance scalability, reliability, and cloud costs
• You work together with analysts, data scientists, machine learning engineers, and insurance professionals and translate data requirements into sustainable solutions

What you bring with you

• You have a university degree in computer science, data engineering, software engineering, or a comparable field, or equivalent professional experience
• You bring several years of practical experience in building productive data solutions as well as very good Python and SQL knowledge
• You have developed data solutions on a leading cloud platform, ideally AWS; sound experience with Azure or Google Cloud is also welcome
• You are familiar with relational and dimensional data modeling, Data Lakes, as well as modern platforms such as AWS Glue, Redshift, Snowflake, or Databricks
• You work confidently with Git, automated tests, CI/CD, Docker, and Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• You act in a quality-oriented manner and understand the importance of data security, governance, observability, and reliable production operations
• Experience with AWS data services or sensitive data in the insurance, finance, or another regulated environment is an advantage, but not a requirement
• You have very good German and good English skills; French or Italian skills are an advantage
