Ready for an exciting challenge in the <<Dienstleistungszentrum Ressourcen>> of the Sicherheitsdirektion (SID). As a specialist in financial planning/controlling, you will work within the <<Kompetenzzentrum Finanzen SID>> unit.

Your tasks

• Advising management and line managers regarding the planning and control of finances as the direct contact person (controlling business partner) for the offices you support
• Ensuring compliance with technical and deadline requirements within the framework of state-wide planning and controlling processes (budgeting, forecasting, trend reporting)
• Maintaining the controlling structures of the offices you support and ensuring the required quality of booking and accounting
• Supporting the line in credit transactions and operating professional credit management
• Ensuring need-oriented financial controlling; preparation of relevant management information in customer-oriented reporting
• Active participation in the continuous development of processes and instruments as well as participation in projects

Your profile

• Higher business administration education or further training (Uni, FH, HF) or commercial training with higher vocational training in accounting/controlling
• Several years of experience in controlling or in auditing/fiduciary services
• Several years of experience in commenting on deviations and annual reports
• Experience in preparing monthly and annual financial statements is an advantage
• Strong analytical, conceptual, and editorial skills; advisory competence and assertiveness
• Sound knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP) and very good Excel skills are required; knowledge of Business Intelligence tools is an advantage
• Good communication skills in German and French (oral and written)

The Generalsekretariat is the hub between the specialist offices, the Kantonspolizei Bern, and the Sicherheitsdirektor. It serves as a staff body for the political and operational management support of the Sicherheitsdirektor. In the Dienstleistungszentrum Ressourcen of the Generalsekretariat, approximately 90 employees in the areas of Finance/Controlling, HR, and ICT provide services for the benefit of the offices and the directorate.

The <<Finanzen und Controlling>> department has a total of approximately 25 employees and includes the two specialist units <<Kompetenzzentrum Finanzen SID>> and <<Servicecenter Finanzen SID>>.
