Context:

On behalf of a renowned Swiss industrial company, based in the Neuchâtel region, recognized for the quality of its products, I am looking for a Metrologist to guarantee the reliability and conformity of measurements within a demanding environment, characterized by micrometric tolerances and high quality standards.
As a true technical expert, you will ensure the mastery of the company's metrological system, from the definition of measurement methods to the analysis of results and uncertainties. You will play a key role in product conformity, continuous process improvement, and support for various technical departments.

Main missions:

Metrology and management of measuring resources

Define, deploy, and evolve the company's metrological strategy;
Ensure the management, monitoring, and conformity of the measurement instrument fleet;
Guarantee the metrological traceability of equipment and compliance with current standards;
Define, develop, and validate measurement methods adapted to components and products;
Program, operate, and optimize 3D, optical, and conventional measurement resources;
Perform complex dimensional controls as well as MSA studies (R&R, capability);
Evaluate and control measurement uncertainties to guarantee product conformity;
Guarantee the adequacy between product tolerances and the control resources used.

Quality, continuous improvement, and technical support

Analyze metrological drifts and evaluate their impact on production;
Participate in the processing of non-conformities and lead corrective and preventive actions;
Guarantee the environmental conditions of the metrology laboratory;
Ensure the management and conformity of metrological documentation;
Train and support teams in good measurement and control practices;
Collaborate with production, methods, quality, and R&D within the framework of continuous improvement and industrialization projects;
Contribute to the reduction of scrap, the reliability of measurements, and the improvement of the company's overall performance.

Profile sought:

Training in precision mechanics, metrology, or microtechnology, ideally at ES level, ideally supplemented by a CAS in applied metrology, or training/experience deemed equivalent;
Confirmed experience in a similar role within a precision industrial environment;
Mastery of reading complex drawings, ISO GPS dimensioning, dimension chains, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T);
Good knowledge of optical measurement systems (type Keyence, vision), metrological software, and statistical tools;
Experience in programming and using 3D/2D measurement resources;
Knowledge of measurement uncertainty methodologies;
Rigorous, analytical personality recognized for its sense of detail;
Stress resistance and ability to evolve in a demanding quality environment;
Sensitivity to environmental conditions related to precision metrology.
