Based in Saint-Imier, VARGA SA is a company active in construction, renovation, and the installation of floor coverings. As a general contractor, we accompany our clients in their projects throughout French-speaking Switzerland.

Our ambition is to provide sustainable and careful services, adapted to the requirements of each project. In order to support our development, we are looking for an experienced, organized, and committed foreman to strengthen our team.

Your responsibilities ###

• Prepare, organize, and coordinate work on construction sites.
• Supervise teams and distribute tasks according to the schedule and priorities.
• Monitor progress, quality of execution, and respect for deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with safety rules and current regulations.
• Coordinate interventions with the works management, subcontractors, and other trades.
• Anticipate needs for personnel, materials, machines, and tools.
• Monitor deliveries and ensure the proper use of equipment.
• Actively participate in the work when the site situation requires it.
• Perform measurements, daily reports, and controls necessary for the monitoring of works.
• Quickly report technical difficulties, schedule deviations, and additional work.
• Represent the company professionally to clients and partners.

Your profile ###

• Completed training in the building sector, ideally with a CFC as a mason or a title deemed equivalent.
• Training as a foreman, team leader, or equivalent experience is an asset.
• Proven experience in team supervision and site management.
• Good knowledge of construction, renovation, and masonry techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret execution plans.
• Good knowledge of safety rules applicable to construction sites in Switzerland.
• Sense of organization, autonomy, and ability to make decisions.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Good command of French, both spoken and written.
• Category B driver's license indispensable.
