Professional Curator

Job Description ## In order to replace a colleague during her maternity leave, we are looking for a motivated person to commit to a meaningful mission, serving the most vulnerable people. As a professional curator, you perform a demanding, useful, and deeply human job. Every day, you accompany and protect adults in situations of vulnerability facing various issues in the social, administrative, financial, legal, and health domains. The diversity of people and situations makes the profession rich and offers a stimulating, varied, and constantly evolving work environment. You carry out your activity within a structured professional framework, in a department that applies the intercantonal recommendations of the Conference on the protection of minors and adults (COPMA), particularly those concerning the number of files per curator. You benefit from the support of internal resources in the legal, financial, tax, and insurance fields. You contribute, on a daily basis, to the prospect of a dignified and autonomous life for everyone, thereby participating in social justice.  Responsibilities ## • Diligent management of adult protection measures entrusted by the Justices of Peace of the canton, in compliance with the legal and regulatory framework. • Asset management and legal representation. • Management of beneficiaries' income and expenses. • Development of an active partnership with professional networks and the relatives of beneficiaries. • Creation of a relationship of trust with beneficiaries. • Investment in the initial training necessary for the function and in continuous training useful for the development of the service.  For further information, please consult the job description, or watch the videos about this profession "Curatelles et tutelles : Une mission de proximité, diversifiée et gratifiante".  By joining our department, you will have the possibility to telework. Qualifications ## • HES Bachelor's or university degree in the social, legal, or financial field or a title deemed equivalent. • 3 years of professional experience related to the missions of the department or significant experience in accompanying vulnerable adults. • Any additional training related to the fields of health, addiction, migration, law, budget management, and social insurance is welcome. • Excellent organizational skills, administrative and financial rigor. • Autonomy, stress resistance, sense of responsibility and priorities. • Open-mindedness, listening skills, flexibility, great capacity for adaptation and learning. • Disclosure of any criminal records as well as an extract from the Office des poursuites is required for this function. • Driver's license. WHO ARE WE? ## The Service des curatelles et tutelles professionnelles (SCTP) has the mission of executing adult and child protection mandates pronounced by the justices of peace in favor of people in situations of vulnerability, when the latter need complex social, legal, financial, and administrative supervision that cannot thus be assumed by private curators/tutors.
