Ensure electricity in Switzerland

In this exciting role, you will actively help shape, develop, and operate the client and workplace platform at Swissgrid. You will continuously observe technological developments regarding Modern Workplace, Client Management, automation, Endpoint Security, and cloud services. Together with your colleagues from the areas of Workplace Services, Cyber Security, and the other infrastructure teams, you ensure a secure, stable, and future-proof workplace for our employees. You will contribute your know-how to infrastructure and transformation projects. In doing so, you consistently follow the principles of -Security by Design- and -Automation First-.

In particular, you will perform the following tasks:

• Development, operation, and continuous optimization of the client and workplace platforms
• Responsibility for the lifecycle of Windows clients, mobile devices, and associated management solutions
• Planning, implementation, and further development of endpoint management solutions (e.g., Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM) and Microsoft Intune)
• Automation of client deployment, configuration, and operation processes
• Ensuring compliance with security, compliance, and architecture specifications in the client environment
• Evaluation, introduction, and integration of new workplace technologies and services
• Close cooperation with the areas of Cyber Security, Identity & Access Management, and the infrastructure teams
• Analysis and resolution of complex malfunctions as well as participation in operational operations
• Participation in infrastructure and digitalization projects
• Co-design of the workplace strategy and further development of the digital working environment

This is how you make a difference

• Completed higher education in computer science (HF/FH/University) or a comparable qualification in the field of Windows Client Engineering
• Sound knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, Endpoint Management, and Endpoint Security
• Security by Design
• Experience in the operation of modern Windows client platforms as well as in handling legacy systems
• Sound knowledge of standards for cyber and information security as well as common hardening standards and guidelines (e.g., IKT-Minimalstandard, NIST CSF, BSI IT-Grundschutz, ISO2700x, CIS)
• Passion for modern workplace technologies and client engineering
• Analytical and solution-oriented way of thinking as well as high initiative
• Enjoyment of working in interdisciplinary teams and shaping innovations
• Experience in the energy industry is an advantage
• Very good knowledge of German and English
