HSE Supervisor

We are looking for several experienced HSE Supervisors to participate in a deep geothermal drilling campaign in Switzerland.

Operations will be carried out on a light drilling rig – Super Light Rig – equipped with an MPD (Managed Pressure Drilling) system.

The site will operate 24/7, with 12-hour shifts according to a 3x3 rotation.

Technical training and project familiarization for one to two weeks are planned in Switzerland in December 2026, before the operational start scheduled for January 2027.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Leading and enforcing HSE policies, procedures, and requirements across all site activities.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and operator requirements.
• Organizing and leading daily safety briefings, Toolbox Talks, and field inspections.
• Identifying risks and implementing necessary prevention and mitigation measures.
• Monitoring drilling operations on Super Light Rig with MPD system to ensure compliance with safety requirements.
• Ensuring compliance with rules related to Well Control, PPE, and site HSE standards.
• Analyzing incidents, near-misses, and non-conformities.
• Conducting root cause analyses and defining corrective action plans.
• Managing HSE documentation, Permits to Work, and various reportings.
• Acting as the primary HSE interlocutor for drilling teams, contractors, and site managers.
• Promoting a strong safety culture among all multidisciplinary teams.
• Coordinating emergency preparedness, safety drills, and communications with local emergency services.

We are looking for an experienced HSE professional with solid knowledge of deep drilling environments.

Required experience:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in HSE roles in Onshore Oil & Gas or deep geothermal operations.
• Deep drilling experience is mandatory.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in continental Europe.
• HSE operational experience in rig or drilling environments.
• Experience in risk management, incident management, and emergency situations.

Expected skills:

• Solid knowledge of HSE requirements applied to drilling operations.
• Proficiency in field inspections, Toolbox Talks, and safety audits.
• Experience in incident investigation and Root Cause Analysis.
• Good mastery of Permit to Work systems.
• Strong skills in risk management and implementation of corrective actions.
• Leadership and ability to enforce HSE standards in the field.
• Excellent communication in multicultural and multidisciplinary environments.
• Ability to work effectively with drilling teams, contractors, and site management.
• Advanced professional English is essential.

Required / expected certifications:

• IWCF Level 2 to 4
• OPITO H2S
• MIST or BOSIET
• Valid OEUK medical certificate

Experience with MPD – Managed Pressure Drilling – operations will be particularly appreciated.
