Head of Project Department, Member of the Collective Management (80%) The Swiss Association of Youth Organizations SAJV is the umbrella organization of 57 youth organizations in Switzerland. It is committed to the interests of youth organizations and the young generation vis-à-vis authorities, political bodies, and the public. Your tasks In this function, you will assume strategic and operational responsibility for the Project Department. You will lead and accompany the project team technically and personally, promote cooperation within the department, and ensure that resources are used effectively and synergies between projects are exploited. You will support project managers as a sparring partner in the conception, implementation, and further development of their projects. In doing so, you will keep an eye on the quality, impact, and sustainability of the projects and strengthen a common understanding of impact-oriented project management. Another focus of your work is project portfolio management: You will further develop existing projects, provide impulses for new projects, and contribute to their conception. Together with the responsible persons, you will also keep an eye on budget, controlling, and fundraising. As a member of the management, you will contribute to the strategic overall development of the association. You will bring the perspective of the project department into the management, work across departments, and take on further tasks in the context of association development. Your profile - Several years of experience in leading projects and/or project portfolio management - In-depth knowledge of project management methods - Ideally, a university degree in business administration, non-profit management, or a comparable field - Experience in leading and accompanying employees - The ability to empower people, provide orientation, and promote cross-departmental cooperation - Experience in resource, budget, controlling, and financial planning - Experience in fundraising - Strategic, analytical, and networked thinking - Ideally, knowledge of the non-profit landscape - An independent, structured, and responsible way of working - Resilience and the ability to maintain an overview even in demanding situations - Very good German and Swiss German language skills - Identification with the goals and values of SAJV We offer SAJV offers you the space to bring in and implement your own ideas.
