Utilities / Steam Service Manager

As Utilities / Steam Service Manager, you define and drive the strategy for the operation, securing, and modernization of the production and distribution facilities for utilities of the Monthey industrial park. You are the guarantor of their safe, reliable, and efficient operation as well as the continuity of supply. You also assume global responsibility for the Centrale de réserve électrique program and ensure compliance with the commitments made.

Guarantee the safety, availability, and performance of the utility production and distribution facilities; Guarantee the continuity of supply of steam and other utilities and the quality of services provided to the site partners; Drive network management by coordinating internal production, external suppliers, and user needs; Define operational priorities and ensure efficient planning of operation and maintenance activities; Monitor the technical, energetic, environmental, and economic performance of the service using relevant indicators; Control the production and distribution costs of utilities and contribute to the development as well as the monitoring of budgets; Anticipate risks related to security of supply, obsolescence of facilities, and dependence on external suppliers; Contribute to the definition and implementation of the site's steam and utilities strategy, particularly within the framework of the energy transition; Identify investment needs and collaborate with Asset Management, Maintenance, and project teams to ensure the sustainability of the facilities; Ensure global responsibility and management of the Centrale de réserve program; Guarantee compliance with commitments made to OFEN, Swissgrid, and other concerned partners; Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, environmental, and internal requirements applicable to the service activities; Develop effective collaboration with industrial partners, energy suppliers, and the various services of the company; Supervise teams, promote their empowerment, and ensure the development of skills necessary for future challenges; Promote a culture of continuous improvement, cooperation, and the pursuit of performance. A higher engineering degree, ideally in the fields of energy engineering, thermal engineering, processes, or an equivalent discipline; Confirmed experience in the management of energy facilities, steam production, or industrial utilities; Successful experience in leading technical and operational teams; Good knowledge of energy networks, thermal installations, and issues related to security of supply; A solid ability to analyze the technical and economic performance of complex facilities and to make decisions; An aptitude to reconcile immediate operational issues with a medium- and long-term vision; Mobilizing leadership, good communication skills, and a real ability to unite around common objectives; Great ease in cross-functional collaboration and in the management of internal and external interfaces; Excellent command of French, knowledge of German and/or English being an advantage.
