Water Supply Specialist, 80-100% The Office for the Environment ensures a sustainable approach to the environment. The Water Department is responsible for urban water management and water protection. For the Water Department, we are looking for a Water Supply Specialist, 80-100%, at the Solothurn location, starting on or after agreement. Your Responsibility You are technically responsible for the General Water Supply Planning (GWP) department. You independently initiate projects for the implementation of the Solothurn Water Network (SWAN). You advise and accompany municipalities and associations on matters of urban water management, including General Drainage Planning (GEP). Your tasks include checking and approving various plans as well as the associated construction projects. Work in interdisciplinary working groups and in the cantonal damage service duty also counts among your tasks. Your Profile You have a completed university degree in engineering (civil/environmental) or in the environmental field, or a comparable higher civil or environmental engineering vocational training with several years of experience in urban water management and/or water protection. Your sound specialist knowledge as well as your experience in project management and project leadership enable you to work cooperatively with partners and stakeholders. Ideally, you have several years of practice in engineering offices or public administration. You are characterized by strong negotiation skills, team spirit and enthusiasm.
