Space for living with dementia -- innovative, human, networked. The Stiftung Basler Wirrgarten has been committed to people with dementia and their relatives and loved ones for over 25 years and is considered a national reference institution. In the Gemeindehaus Oekolampad, it runs the Kompetenzzentrum Atrium with two day centers, a specialized advisory center, and other care offers. The Atrium pursues a person-centered approach and focuses on the social and cultural participation of those affected. Relatives and loved ones are supported through counseling, training, and relief offers. 20 employees and 30 volunteers are committed to the needs of the clientele. Professional competence, innovative strength, and networking are the central factors for the success of the Stiftung Basler Wirrgarten. Due to the retirement of the long-standing job holder, we are looking for a winning and entrepreneurial personality as Managing Director as of 1 August 2027 or by arrangement. Reporting directly to the Board of Trustees, you bear full operational responsibility for the foundation and develop it strategically together with the Board of Trustees. You manage the operation professionally, personally, and financially. Together with the members of the management team, you secure public and private financing, ensure smooth processes, and develop innovative offers and projects. You maintain contacts with politics, administration, institutions from the network, and the neighborhood in the Gemeindehaus Oekolampad, position the foundation externally together with the Board of Trustees, and raise awareness for the topic of dementia. We are looking for a committed, competent, and versatile leadership personality with tertiary-level training in the elderly, health, or social sectors, supplemented by qualifications in business administration or NPO management, as well as a special connection to the topic of dementia. You bring several years of experience in business organization, personnel management, and fundraising. With your communicative and convincing manner as well as high social competence, you lead employees and volunteers and work successfully with different external stakeholders. Ideally, you are anchored in the region and have a corresponding network.
