Scope of work 100% Contract open-ended Entry date immediately or by agreement Tasks You design, implement and operate modern Windows-based platforms and actively develop them further (focus of the position on engineering, with active participation in operation) You ensure stable and secure operation over the entire lifecycle together with the team (Run/Operate & Improve): Monitoring/Alerting, Incident/Problem Management, Patch/Release Management, Capacity/Performance and Availability You drive standardization, automation and hardening (security) of system environments (e.g. via IaC/Scripting) You take over engineering responsibility for lifecycle topics: Design, Build, Patch/Release Management, Capacity, Performance and Availability You analyze disruptions sustainably, carry out Root Cause Analyses and establish permanent improvements (Problem Management) You work on company-wide projects as a technical lead or specialist and bring in your know-how You advise application managers and internal teams on infrastructure, architecture, security and operating models You maintain system, architecture and operating documentation, standards and runbooks and ensure their availability You take over on-call services in the defined cycle after training and ensure operational security even outside of office hours Planned maintenance windows and changes take place regularly outside of office hours and on weekends (as needed) Requirements Completed training in computer science (EFZ/HF/FH) or comparable, multi-year practical experience as a Windows System Engineer Very good knowledge in the Microsoft ecosystem, e.g. Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server & Clients, MS SQL (operational), Active Directory/Entra ID, Exchange (Online/Hybrid), Teams/VoIP Experience with virtualization technologies, ideally VMware (vSphere/ESXi/vCenter) Good knowledge of network technologies and security basics (LAN/WLAN, Cisco, 802.1x, hardening, Identity & Access concepts) Experience with backup/restore and storage (e.g. Veeam) as well as monitoring/logging Strong skills in automation & scripting (PowerShell; ideally Git-based workflow, CI/CD-near methods advantageous) It is advantageous if you are familiar with Ansible and source code management with Git Structured, independent work, high service orientation and good communication; user knowledge in the Atlassian Cloud Suite Very good German; knowledge of French and/or Italian is advantageous What we offer We offer you a modern, dynamic working environment where you can bring in your skills and personality every day and make a difference.
