Your missions You ensure the responsibility of the Middle Ages and Built Heritage Archaeology sector of the SAEF and contribute, with the other sector heads and the management, to ensuring the missions of the service. You coordinate the identification, census, protection, safeguarding, documentation, analysis, study, archiving, enhancement and mediation of the archaeological cultural property concerned and primarily perform administrative and operational tasks. You regularly conduct several tasks and projects in parallel. You manage the sector from a managerial point of view, you prioritize and direct operations, you report and represent your field of activity publicly. You ensure, with the scientific manager who will subsequently be subordinate to you and who will ensure the scientific direction and support, that the sector's mission is balanced. You implement and maintain the framework conditions for the functioning of your sector and the personnel assigned to it, while taking into account the needs of the service. Desired profile You hold a master's degree in archaeology, a federal diploma of archaeological excavation technician or training deemed equivalent. You quickly grasp the challenges of safeguarding medieval archaeological heritage and the heritage buildings of the canton of Fribourg. You benefit from excellent references in planning, organization and operational direction of preventive archaeology of which you master the processes, ideally also administrative and financial. Your experience, your skills and your knowledge allow you to lead and carry out impact assessments, preventive operations and archaeological reports leading to studies, enhancement and heritage mediation. You possess proven managerial and team management skills. You are comfortable in communication and in relations with the personnel of your sector, the service or with external interlocutors. You are solution-oriented, dynamic and like working in a team. You are committed to maintaining a serene and constructive collaborative environment. Your professional network allows you to interact and communicate with specialists in your field of activity. You master the usual methods, instruments and tools, analog and digital, implemented in the field of activity.
