• Analyze and evaluate foreign armed forces and their respective deployments
• Monitor and evaluate the evolution of the military situation in the short, medium, and long term within the assigned area of responsibility
• Ensure an in-depth knowledge of all data and facts necessary for the continuous evaluation of the evolution of the situation
• Contextualize and evaluate military actions at the operational and military-strategic levels
• Within the defined competencies, draft reports and documentation, prepare and present briefings on the situation, as well as provide specialist reports within the scope of intelligence information dissemination
• Maintain contacts with service recipients and with entities that require intelligence information

What distinguishes you

• University degree (master)
• Excellent analytical and editorial skills, critical thinking
• Extensive military knowledge, preferably officer rank
• Advanced training in the field of intelligence service and defense technology
• Relevant professional experience for the function
• Good active knowledge in at least one second official language and, if possible, passive knowledge in a third official language as well as good knowledge of English

The Operations Command (Cdo Op) is responsible for all operations and all military deployments of the Swiss Army. It includes, among others, the Air Force, the Land Forces, the four territorial divisions, the SWISSINT competence center, the special forces command, and the military police. Approximately 40 percent of the nearly 2500 employees are civilian employees: from engineers and aircraft mechanics to analysts.

The Swiss Army employs over 9000 employees within the framework of four military professions and about 200 civilian professions, in 110 locations throughout the national territory. Furthermore, it provides for new recruits, training apprentices in over 30 professions.
