Office des travaux publics | 80-100 % | Thusis ##

The Office des travaux publics is responsible for the planning, construction, maintenance, and operation of cantonal roads as well as hydraulic structures and soft mobility in Grisons. We also take care of the operational maintenance of national roads within the cantonal territory. The canton's road infrastructure includes more than 1'450 engineering structures, including bridges perched up to 90 meters high and tunnels up to 3 kilometers long. The challenges brought by the nature of our mountainous canton in both summer and winter make our work demanding and varied. We are looking for a road maintenance worker for the road maintenance department in district 7 Thusis starting from 1 December 2026 or by arrangement

Your area of responsibility

• Cleaning of cantonal and national road tunnels throughout the canton (eight months of summer service)
• Execution of road maintenance work within a small maintenance team
• Cleaning and maintenance work after accidents or natural events
• Checking the condition of roads and road facilities
• Night service (approximately 8 months per year)
• Winter standby service (approximately 4 months per year)

What we expect from you

• Completed training in the construction sector or as a mechanic
• Manual dexterity as well as technical and mechanical knowledge
• Availability for night work and standby service
• Physical and mental resilience
• Enjoyment of teamwork in a small group
• Category C driving license or willingness to obtain it
