COAL TRADER (M/F/D) – INTERNATIONAL RAW MATERIAL TRADING

Work location: Teufen AR, Switzerland
An internationally active raw material trading company is looking to strengthen its team with
a experienced coal trader (m/f/d) for the area of physical coal trading.

Your tasks

• Initiation, structuring and execution of international physical

coal trading transactions

• Purchase and sale of coal on international markets
• Establishment and maintenance of long-term business relationships with producers,

suppliers, customers and trading partners

• Negotiation of purchase and sales contracts as well as commercial conditions
• Market observation, price analyses and identification of new trading opportunities
• Organization and coordination of international logistics, especially rail,

port and sea transport

• Monitoring of quality, quantities, delivery deadlines and contractual

obligations

• Cooperation with banks, insurance companies, inspection companies and

other service providers

• Recognition and management of commercial and operational risks
• Development of new suppliers, customers and sales markets

Your profile

• Several years of professional experience in physical coal trading or in international

raw material trading

• Existing network to coal producers, customers and/or

trading houses

• Good knowledge of international raw material logistics and trade documentation
• Strong commercial negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to independently initiate, structure and conclude

trading transactions

• Good analytical and financial skills
• Very good English skills in speaking and writing; further language skills are

advantageous

• Willingness to undertake international business trips
