Area of responsibility

• You lead the open geriatric psychiatry ward and further develop the treatment concept together with the nursing ward management
• You plan and supervise therapeutic processes - individual, evidence-based and close to everyday life
• You are committed to the further education and promotion of assistant physicians and team colleagues
• You undertake geriatric psychiatry consultations at Spital Emmental and accompany the specialist supervision
• You participate in the Integrated Psychiatric Emergency Service

Profile

• Specialist title in Psychiatry and Psychotherapy - or you are close to completion
• Interest in the specialist title Geriatric Psychiatry and Geriatric Psychotherapy - ideal, but not a must
• We request the possibility to complete the FMH specialist training in Geriatric Psychiatry and Geriatric Psychotherapy and/or Consultation and Liaison Psychiatry (2 years each)
• Experience in geriatric psychiatry is welcome and offers you additional design possibilities
• You enjoy working in a team-oriented manner, think interdisciplinary and actively contribute to the further development of our services
• You present yourself confidently and communicate empathically - towards patients, relatives and in the team
