School-age children and adolescents with asylum status attend the Asyl school offerings during the first phase of their stay in the Canton of Luzern. At various locations, they are prepared for integration into municipal schools or regular bridge offerings. In addition, the offerings are also aimed at late-arriving adolescents and young adults from the asylum sector, from EU/EFTA, and from third countries.

Do you want to make a difference with your special education work and at the same time help shape a new function? With the Asyl school offerings, you will accompany children, adolescents and young adults with special stories and strengthen teachers in everyday classroom life. You will look after our three external locations Sempach-Station (in Neuenkirch), St. Urban and Sörenberg and will be regularly on site.

Your tasks

• Children and adolescents with special educational needs will be individually accompanied by you and strengthened in their academic, social and personal development.
• You observe learning and development processes, assess educational needs and develop appropriate support measures together with those involved.
• You provide advisory support to teachers in dealing with challenging situations and assist them in making teaching effective and differentiated.
• You will get to know our various locations and their different school realities and contribute in a networked manner to the local support processes.
• You will actively help shape the establishment of this newly created function and develop sustainable structures and concepts together with your colleague.

• You have training as a school special education teacher and bring joy to working in a diverse, intercultural environment.
• You support children and adolescents with patience, appreciation and a resource-oriented view of their strengths and possibilities.
• You work independently, flexibly and solution-oriented and feel comfortable in a varied and dynamic school everyday life.
• You enjoy being on the go, appreciate different places of work and bring the necessary mobility for assignments in the Canton of Luzern.
• You want to use your expertise not only in everyday school life but also to actively contribute to the further development of a new offering and interdisciplinary cooperation.
