• 08 July 2026 • 100% • Indefinite duration • Winterthur Expert Engineer Location: Winterthur Start date of the position: To be agreed Workload: 100% Responsibilities: • Advise and consult on site commissioning tasks and troubleshooting activities • Keep accurate records of field activities, including service and work reports, maintenance logs, and observations for later reference and compliance. Ensure economical use of resources. • Ensure correct recording of hours, project control (expenditures and revenues), and transmission of data for invoicing • Respect safety standards and regulatory requirements during all field activities, implementing best practices to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with company standards. • Work efficiently with other engineers and stakeholders. Share knowledge and ensure a comprehensive solution to complex technical problems • Continuously update one's own technical skills and those of others through training and education on the latest advances in marine engine technology and service practices. Requirements: • Master's degree in mechanical engineering • Knowledge of 2-stroke engines: Sensitivity to engine performance, thermodynamics, vibrations, materials, and structures. • Experience in servicing and operating 2-stroke engines, including automation systems and electronics. • Graduate in the fields of equipment, electricity, or electronics or with relevant experience. • Emphasis on practical experience with safety standards in field operations. • Strengths in troubleshooting / onboard measurements and / or high-complexity work such as software updates and onboard adjustments • Experience or ability to support effective management of field service projects and coordination with teams. • PC software and basic PC configuration skills required. • Ability to interpret and create documents in English and communicate effectively. • Autonomous and self-critical work behavior with a focus on continuous improvement.
