Your tasks

• Independent trading in the medium- and long-term electricity markets
• Ongoing market observation, analysis of price developments and identification and implementation of trading opportunities
• Development and implementation of profitable, risk-aware trading strategies within the framework of AEW risk policy and set conditions
• Compliance with all compliance, market and trading rules
• Support in building and further developing the trading environment (tools, processes, data)
• Reliable market access for portfolio management
• Open to collaborating on projects in the trading environment together with IT and digitalisation

Your profile

• University degree in finance, economics, business administration, physics, mathematics, data science or comparable
• Relevant professional experience in energy trading, preferably prop trading
• Very good knowledge of the European electricity markets
• Confident handling of trading platforms
• Understanding of risk metrics (VaR, PnL attribution)
• High reliability and sense of responsibility
• Willingness to reliably fulfil reporting and documentation obligations
• Very good German language skills, spoken and written
