Company Description ##

Our client, a recognized international financial institution firmly established in Genève, is looking to strengthen its Risk team by recruiting an Operational Risk Manager to contribute to the development and maintenance of its operational risk management framework.

Job Description ##

• Maintain and evolve the operational risk management framework
• Review, challenge, and support Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) exercises
• Collaborate with various stakeholders within the three lines of defense
• Perform control tests and evaluate their effectiveness
• Participate in various risk reviews and operational risk analyses
• Identify potential weaknesses in the control framework and contribute to the definition of corrective measures
• Ensure rigorous follow-up of risk issues and associated action plans
• Contribute to the application and evolution of the regulatory framework applicable to operational risks
• Participate operationally in various projects and cross-functional topics of the team.

Profile Sought ##

• Higher university education in Finance, Economics, Audit, Risk Management, or equivalent training
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the field of Operational Risk, Audit, or internal control, ideally within a financial institution or an audit / consulting firm
• Good understanding of Swiss banking regulatory frameworks and operational risk issues
• Practical experience with RCSAs, control tests, risk reviews, and internal control frameworks
• Experience gained within a Big Four is a real asset
• Ability to have a global vision of the function while remaining very operational in execution
• Hands-on, proactive personality, comfortable in an environment where everyone contributes directly to the various activities of the team
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and prioritization skills
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
• Very good mastery of Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of Avaloq constitutes an advantage
• Fluent English and a very good level of French are indispensable
• Mastery of German constitutes an additional asset.
