For our global headquarters in Pfäffikon/SZ, we are looking for an experienced mechanical engineer to strengthen our development team. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, design and validation of mechanical systems and components. You will accompany the entire product life cycle - from idea and prototypes to series maturity and continuous improvement. You will work closely with application specialists and other experts in an interdisciplinary project team. In addition, as a deputy team leader, you will assume responsibilities within the mechanical development team, supporting the head of mechanical engineering in operational matters, leading topics independently and actively participating in structural and process issues. YOUR TASKS ## • Development and design of mechanical assemblies and individual parts • Creation of 3D models and technical drawings using 3D CAD (SolidEdge) • Support in the laboratory for prototype validation • Support during the transfer to production (industrialization) • Documentation and maintenance of technical documents as well as creation of parts lists • Coordination of product maintenance issues as well as independent handling of operational issues in collaboration with purchasing, quality and production • Replacement of the head of mechanical engineering in case of absence, in order to ensure the smooth running of daily operations WHAT YOU WILL BRING ## • Degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical field (ETH/Uni/FH or equivalent) • Several years of experience in mechanical design and development in an industrial or product-oriented environment • Very good CAD skills (e.g. SolidEdge or equivalent) as well as experience in design for manufacturing • Practical experience in prototyping, testing and validation • Great autonomy and ability to take charge and drive topics independently • Communicative personality, team-oriented with a pragmatic mindset • Very good knowledge of German and English WHAT AWAITS YOU ## You will work in a dynamic environment with short decision-making processes and plenty of space for your own ideas.
