Head of Angiology Department

Your tasks The already strongly practiced interdisciplinary collaboration will be further strengthened with the merger of all departments in the new building from 2027 and creates optimal conditions for a future-oriented, networked medicine. For the strategic and medical further development of our angiology, we are looking for a committed, leadership-strong and technically renowned personality as Head of Angiology Department, immediately or by agreement. • Medical, personnel and organizational overall responsibility for the angiology department. • Ensuring high-quality, patient-centered diagnostics and therapy for the entire angiologic spectrum, particularly interventionally. • Further development of outpatient and inpatient angiologic care in close cooperation with the department's specialist disciplines. • Building and maintaining interdisciplinary cooperations, especially with internal medicine, cardiology, radiology, vascular surgery, interventional radiology, and general medicine. • Co-responsibility for the strategic further development of the Kantonsspital as well as active co-design of care processes. • Promotion of training, further education, and continuing education as well as supervision and support of assistant and senior physicians. • Representation of angiology to referring physicians, specialist bodies, and external partners. • Commitment to quality assurance, innovation, teaching, and possibly research. Your profile • Federal medical diploma or MEBEKO-recognized equivalent education. • FMH specialist title for angiology. • Habilitation. • Several years of clinical and leadership experience in a leading position, ideally in a hospital or university environment. • Proven expertise in non-invasive and invasive angiology as well as in the care of complex vascular medical patients. • Experience in interdisciplinary collaboration and enjoyment of networked medical care. • Distinct leadership, communication, and social skills. • Entrepreneurial thinking, high willingness to take responsibility, and interest in the further development of a future-oriented department. • Very good German language skills, other national languages an advantage.
