Senior Program Manager (100%)

The ETH area is facing significant organizational development. As part of «FIT for the Future», the administrative services of Empa, Eawag, WSL, and PSI (4 Research Institutes) are being strategically aligned for the future. The goal is to create overarching, integrated, and digitally oriented service organizations. For the management of the Program Office and as a central key function for program management, we are looking for an experienced personality with proven ability to successfully lead complex transformations in the context of scientific excellence and professional, scalable business models for a limited mandate of 2 to 3 years. Your role ### • You will significantly control the transformation at the interface of strategy and implementation and ensure that this ambitious structural reform is effectively implemented • You will design and implement the Target Operating Models and integration architectures for Finance, HR, and IT together with the research institutions • You will translate strategic decisions into implementable programs with realistic decision-making and governance structures • You will shape the implementation of the transformation and ensure careful and effective change and stakeholder management • You will be a sparring partner for the program management and drive topics forward, even where interests diverge and decisions are politically sensitive Your profile ### • Master's degree in Business Administration, Business Informatics, or a comparable field • Several years of experience in designing and implementing transformations in complex organizations (public context, science, or large organizations are an advantage) • Proven successes in cross-organizational integration projects, such as setting up shared services, harmonization projects, or developing new business models • Pronounced ability to develop viable and implementable solutions in politically shaped and stakeholder-intensive contexts • Ability to safely switch between strategic concept, governance questions, and operational implementation • Proven leadership experience in demanding environments with highly qualified specialists • High personal sovereignty, decision-making strength, and assertiveness • Very good German and English language skills Our offer ### You can expect an exceptional key task with high visibility, great design possibilities, and direct influence on the strategic realignment of the service organizations of the four research institutes of the ETH area.
