What you can move. • Your main task is the development and control of the construction portfolio plan in assigned traffic axes, the rayons of the Region Mitte. You contribute significantly to ensuring that an overall view of ongoing and future projects is available in the region. • Together with your partners, you define the framework conditions for construction execution and their impact on rail operating capacity. Starting from the study phase, you develop concepts for necessary intervals such as track closures, logistics, and construction methods, taking into account cost-benefit considerations as well as the interests of the construction project and the line capacity. • You recognize conflicts of interest, capacity bottlenecks, and synergies early and develop proposed solutions. You identify and accompany key and anchor projects to bundle construction activities. • Across projects, you review construction phases in critical perimeters early on to obtain an overall view of the network-wide capacity impacts. In case of conflict, you support partners in developing solutions that represent the optimum from the perspective of the overall system. • You ensure a coordinated view of the construction portfolio and actively bring the perspective of network management into the planning. You remain calm even under pressure and set the right priorities. • You quickly familiarize yourself with complex issues, can think in terms of possible solution variants, and are able to obtain an overall view. • In a dynamic project environment, you find it easy to repeatedly adapt to new framework conditions and external influences. • For this demanding work in holistic construction portfolio planning, you bring several years of experience in an infrastructure, rail, operations, or large-scale project environment, know the connections between railway operations, infrastructure, network capacity, and construction activity, and have a university or university of applied sciences degree in a relevant field, e.g., civil engineering, transport engineering, or infrastructure management. • Very good German skills at level C2 are a must. It is an advantage if you have knowledge of a second national language at level B1.
