Welcome to the fascinating world of taxes! Together with the municipal tax offices, the cantonal tax office collects taxes for the Confederation, the canton, and the municipalities. We support private individuals and companies throughout the entire tax collection process. For this purpose, around 800 qualified employees are engaged at the location in Zürich Altstetten.

The municipal audit independently examines the approximately 160 municipal tax offices in the canton of Zürich based on legal requirements. The focus is on the various areas of state taxes as well as the interfaces to the cantonal tax office. In doing so, we support the cantonal tax office in its supervisory responsibility and make an important contribution to quality assurance and the further development of tax processes in the canton of Zürich.

Your tasks: ###

• Personnel and organizational leadership as well as targeted further development of a team of 3-5 experienced specialists
• Occasional performance of own audits at the municipal tax offices
• Ensuring uniform and high-quality audits in the areas of collection, registers, finance, and assessment
• Development, maintenance, and implementation of risk analyses as well as the audit and inspection plan
• Ensuring quality, deadline, and quantity specifications including controlling and reporting
• Technical advice and support for the municipal tax offices

Your profile: ###

• Commercial basic training (EFZ) or comparable qualification as well as relevant further training for the function in the audit, leadership, or tax area (e.g., Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), SSK I/II, leadership training)
• Proven experience in the personnel leadership of employees
• Practice in auditing and/or good knowledge of taxation; experience in public administration is an advantage, but not a requirement
• Proficient German skills in speaking and writing
• Willingness to travel within the canton of Zürich
