Biologist Head of the Clinical Chemistry Service

The employer is looking for a:

Biologist Head of the Clinical Chemistry Service (noted profession)

Tasks:

• responsible for the scientific and specialist oversight of Clinical Chemistry
• promotes the evolution of diagnostic methods and laboratory technologies, guaranteeing high quality standards, analytical reliability and innovation in support of clinical and diagnostic activity
• supports and implements local and cross-cutting technical-scientific projects
• actively collaborates with the professionals of the Clinic of Laboratory Medicine, with the other Clinics of the IDISI, with the clinical services of the EOC and with national and international partners

Requirements:

• the person we are looking for holds the FAMH specialist title in Clinical Chemistry, preferably monodisciplinary.
• mastery of at least one national language and good knowledge of the English language
• significant experience in medical diagnostic laboratories and possesses proven scientific, organizational and relational skills, combined with strong communication and negotiation skills
• result orientation, ability to work in interdisciplinary contexts and predisposition to continuous improvement and innovation
• university degree in the specialty discipline
• FAMH specialist title in Clinical Chemistry, preferably monodisciplinary
• several years of experience in medical diagnostic laboratories
• proven experience in conducting specialist projects and availability to conduct scientific and research activities
• experience in specialist consultancy and in the clinical interpretation of laboratory results
• knowledge of quality systems and accreditation regulations applicable to medical laboratories
• organizational skills and management of specialist processes
• excellent relational, communication skills and aptitude for interdisciplinary work
• basic IT knowledge and specific laboratory applications
• good knowledge of the Italian language. Knowledge of other national languages and/or English will constitute a preferential qualification
• identification with the values of the organization, listening skills and attention to others

Employment details:

• if main work in Bellinzona, with availability to provide service also at the other cantonal locations (Lugano, Mendrisio, Locarno), according to the needs of the Service
• working hours: predominantly daytime hours, from Monday to Friday, with possibility of overtime according to the needs of the Service
• employment 80-100%
• start of employment to be agreed, permanent contract
• salary remuneration to be agreed
