To strengthen our team in Research & Development, we are looking for a dedicated Scientist Peptidwirkstoffe R&D LPPS/TAPS (w/m/d), 100%. The area of work includes numerous different steps of modern synthesis of peptide active ingredients, peptide fragments, and amino acid building blocks in solution, as well as various technologies for concentrating and isolating the products. Your tasks: • Responsibility for planning, analysis, and interpretation of experiments as well as presentation of the results obtained • Planning and timely execution of development work or process optimizations in cooperation with other departments, taking into account quality, economy, and safety • Carrying out process transfers (scale-up) and supporting production in the introduction of new processes, partly under cGMP guidelines • Focus on the LPPS/TAPS area (organic chemistry in solution, peptide couplings, protective group chemistry, extraction, precipitation, crystallization) • Writing reports and creating presentations on the work carried out for internal and external customers • Supporting production in solving chemical challenges (troubleshooting) • Active participation in the continuous improvement of our equipment and workflows as well as maintenance of the laboratory infrastructure Your profile: • PhD in Chemistry • Experience in preparative organic synthesis and a flair for process technology • A structured, precise, and independent way of working that allows you to always keep an overview • Pronounced communicative and organizational skills • Reliability, independence, and team ability • Very good German and English language skills in word and writing • Knowledge of peptide chemistry and common analysis techniques such as UHPLC and LC-MS are an advantage Our offer: • A dynamic and strongly growing work environment with internal development opportunities • Flexible working hours with possibility for home office and option to take additional vacation days with reduced working hours • Employee promotion through numerous internal and external further training offers • 60% takeover of pension fund contributions by Bachem AG as well as possibility for over-obligatory provision with our choice savings plan • Access to a benefits platform with discounts from external partners • Fresh, healthy, and varied food in our staff restaurant • Varied free sports activities on the Bachem campus Do you want to drive innovations forward with us?
