In this role, you will supervise a team of seven people, assume responsibility for a partial area of institutions and products supervision in asset management, and actively contribute to the development of the group.

Head of Institutions and Products Supervision Group (m/f/d)

FINMA is responsible for the supervision of the Swiss financial market. It protects creditors, investors, and policyholders, and ensures the proper functioning of the financial markets. Main tasks

• Personnel and technical leadership of a bilingual team (German and French).
• Encouragement and support for group members in daily business and in their technical and personal development.
• Responsibility for the cross-cutting supervision of asset management activities and the supervision of products (investment funds)
• Conduct of supervision based on specific themes and priority themes
• Coordination of collaboration with cross-cutting areas and maintenance of relations with key stakeholders
• Development of supervision instruments taking into account developments at national and international levels

Required profile

• Higher education degree in law or economics
• At least eight years of relevant professional experience in the financial field, particularly in asset management, and in personnel management
• Specialized continuing education (CFA, FRM, CAIA or chartered accountant diploma, for example) is an asset
• Strong skills in design, analysis, and communication.
• Ability to understand quickly, plan and organize; strong initiative and motivation
• Excellent knowledge of German or French (C2) and very good knowledge of the other language and of English (C1)
