mexem SA is involved in the works direction of a major industrial project currently under construction in Bulle.

In order to strengthen its envelope team on this project, mexem SA is looking for a Senior Works Director to lead the execution of works and supervise the dedicated works team.

In close connection with the Envelope Works Manager, who notably ensures the development and general orientations of the project, you are the referent for operational execution and the daily coordination of works.

Your mission

You guarantee the proper execution of envelope works, from the preparation of execution to the handovers, in compliance with quality, cost, and deadline requirements.

Your main responsibilities

• Lead the execution of envelope works on several buildings.
• Supervise the works team, distribute responsibilities, and set priorities.
• Translate project orientations into methods, sequences, and execution decisions.
• Coordinate interfaces with structures, shell construction, technical installations, interior fittings, and other lots.
• Lead the companies working on facades, waterproofing, and insulation.
• Monitor the progress, costs, modifications, risks, and additional works within your scope.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, SIA standards, AEAI regulations, and the rules of the art.
• Supervise inspections, non-conformities, corrective measures, handovers, and the clearing of reservations.
• Lead operational meetings and ensure regular reporting to the Envelope Works Manager and the project management.

Your profile

• Higher education in construction: HES/EPF engineer, architect, ES technician, federal diploma or mastery in an envelope trade, or equivalent training.
• Proven experience in works direction or management, with significant expertise in the building envelope.
• Recent operational experience on a complex project completed in Switzerland.
• Practical and up-to-date knowledge of standards and regulations applicable to the envelope, building physics, and fire protection.
• Ability to analyze constructive details, identify critical interfaces, and propose feasible solutions.
• Experience in supervising works managers or site teams.
• Field leadership, sense of responsibility, organization, and decision-making ability.
• Excellent mastery of French.
