Childcare Specialist / Social Pedagogical Specialist

The Robert Aeschbacher-Stiftung operates the Aeschbacherhuus in Münsingen, a socio-pedagogical institution for preschool-age children as well as for parents with their children. We take in infants and children when remaining within the family system is temporarily not possible or an acute crisis situation exists. Our goal is to provide protection, stability, and development-promoting relationships until a sustainable follow-up solution can be arranged.

For one of our residential groups, we are looking for a dedicated specialist starting in December or by arrangement at a workload of 60% - 90%.

Your tasks ###

• Care and accompaniment of children from birth to 6 years of age in an inpatient setting (in exceptional cases or with sibling constellations, older children may also be admitted)
• Design of a structured and development-promoting everyday life in the residential group
• Undertaking key person work and cooperation with parents, authorities, and specialist agencies
• Participation in educational and support planning as well as in assessments and reports
• Collaboration in an interdisciplinary team and co-design of team processes
• Undertaking shift and night duties according to the duty roster
• Undertaking household activities such as cooking and cleaning involving the children

Your profile ###

• Completed training as a Childcare Specialist (FaBe K), Social Pedagogue HF/FH or comparable training
• Several years of experience in the inpatient sector (especially shift and night duty as well as key person work) is an advantage
• Experience in the care of toddlers or the willingness to acquire the corresponding specialist knowledge
• Independent, proactive, and responsible way of working
• High resilience, flexibility, and ability to work in a team
• Motivation for working with children in challenging life situations as well as their parents and their other environment
