Your tasks

Communication means much more than language. It means participation, self-determination, and quality of life. This is exactly what you and your team advocate for every day. Together, you ensure that people with impairments receive the appropriate support and can shape their everyday lives as self-determinedly as possible. In doing so, you take over the management of the specialist department "Augmentative and Alternative Communication", lead an independent team of seven speech therapists and bear personnel responsibility. The focus of your work lies in the professional advice and support of people with impairments and their environment. You prepare conversations, carry out assessments and evaluate on-site which communication aids enable the greatest possible participation and are financed by social insurance according to their criteria. Based on your assessments, you create well-founded specialist reports for social insurance providers and other clients. In doing so, you move daily at the interface between speech therapy, pedagogy, medicine, social insurance and technology. You advise institutions on the sustainable implementation of communication aids, exchange ideas with specialists from a wide variety of disciplines and actively contribute your knowledge to the further development of the specialist department.

What you bring with you

• Completed training as a speech therapist (EDK-recognized)
• Joy in advising and supporting people, institutions and specialists
• Interest in technical aids and digital solutions
• High social competence, assertiveness and organizational skills
• Very good German and French language skills (internal use)
• As well as a valid driving license category B
