IP Specialist/Patent Engineer (m/f/d)
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR FOR YOU
As an IP Specialist/Patent Engineer (m/f/d), you will work in a team of sixteen employees in the central patent department of Rheinmetall at the Zurich location. From there, you will support products and projects throughout the group.
In doing so, you will undertake the following tasks:
Conducting patent searches to accelerate development, to check the patentability of products and technologies, and to clarify possible collisions with third-party patents
Creation of figures for patent applications, trademarks, and designs in cooperation with the specialist departments
Supporting internal specialist departments in the preparation of invention disclosures and in the creation of intellectual property applications in cooperation with external patent attorneys
Competitive and technology monitoring with regard to potential intellectual property collisions
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING
FH/ETH university degree in the disciplines of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, materials science, or physics
Relevant professional experience in a patent department, a patent law firm, or in industry
Knowledge of German, Swiss, and/or European patent law
Experience with common research and database systems in the IP field
Experience with relevant AI-based IP tools is an advantage
High capacity for innovation and flexibility
Very good German and English skills in speaking and writing
