Position: Hardware Electronics Engineer Intern (EMC)

Entity: Laboratoire Electronique Commercial Vehicle (LECV)

Location: Boncourt, Switzerland

As part of the ongoing development of a power electronics product, you will participate in the implementation of a Design for EMC methodology aimed at integrating Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) constraints from the earliest design phases and proposing improvements before the manufacturing of prototypes.

The objective is to reduce the risks of non-compliance during validation campaigns, to limit the number of correction and revalidation loops, and thus contribute to the reduction of the Time-to-Market of future products.

You will perform numerical finite element simulations in order to identify and analyze potential sources of electromagnetic emissions and susceptibility at the level of the electronic boards (PCB).

Your mission ###

• Analyze electronic architectures and associated EMC constraints.
• Model electronic boards (PCB) for electromagnetic simulations.
• Perform EMC simulations.
• Study phenomena of radiation, coupling, and signal and power integrity.
• Interpret the results obtained.
• Contribute to the analysis of design best practices and to the definition of EMC design rules.

Your skills ###

• Knowledge in analog and digital electronics.
• Interest in Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and electronic board design.
• Knowledge of Altium Designer or another Electronic CAD tool.
• Knowledge of Ansys Electronics Desktop (HFSS, SIwave or equivalent) for electromagnetic simulations.
• Analytical mindset, rigor, and autonomy.
• Technical curiosity and a taste for innovation.

Your background ###

• Engineering student in the final year of training (Master's level or equivalent), with a specialization in electronics, embedded systems.
