• Check customs documents
• Carry out cargo and departure controls
• Check applicable police regulations (security) for vehicles
• Participate in the collection and control of the performance-related heavy vehicle charge (LSVA)
• Perform irregular shift work

This makes you unique

• Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training of at least a three-year basic vocational training, Matura, Fachmittelschule or equivalent certificate
• Swiss/Liechtenstein citizenship or settlement permit C
• High willingness to learn and capable; local flexibility; driving license category B
• Ready to wear a uniform
• Very good knowledge of an official language

In a nutshell
You support controls in cross-border traffic and the enforcement of customs regulations in the Basel or Aargau region. In active customer contact, you can assert the interests of the BAZG determinedly and convincingly.

Security for the population, economy and the state
The Federal Office for Customs and Border Security ensures comprehensive security at the border -- for the welfare of the population, economy and the state. It is well networked nationally and internationally. Its core tasks include the proper and rapid clearance of commercial goods, the smooth flow of passenger traffic, the areas of security police and migration, and it possesses its own investigative authority with criminal prosecution.
