• Independently conduct criminal proceedings regarding violations of the Geldspielgesetz in German and French -- from routine matters to complex large-scale proceedings
• Be responsible for criminal investigations in the application of administrative criminal law from opening to closure and order, organize, and lead coercive measures, in particular house searches, in close cooperation with the police
• Clarify facts in a targeted and efficient manner, collect and evaluate evidence in a structured way, in particular preparing and conducting interrogations
• Precisely draft and issue orders and penal decisions as well as support the enforcement of legally binding decisions
• Convincingly represent the ESBK in proceedings before all judicial instances in German and French

The Secretariat of the Eidgenössische Spielbankenkommission (ESBK) prosecutes crimes under the Geldspielgesetz, exercises direct supervision over casinos, and levies the casino levy. The ESBK is independent. Administratively, it is assigned to the Eidgenössisches Justiz- und Polizeidepartement EJPD.
