Senior Windows Client Engineer # (m/f/d) freelance/in temporary permanent employment for a project Bern Start date: 08/26 Reference number: 886385/1 Project information ### • No sub-contracting possible, exclusively personnel leasing via Hays (Schweiz) Tasks ### • Responsibility as Senior Windows Client Engineer for the further development of a modern workplace and endpoint management environment • Advising Product Owners and stakeholders on topics such as Windows Client Management, Endpoint Management, Cloud Transformation, and Workplace Architecture • Development, operation, and optimization of client management solutions with a focus on Microsoft Intune, Configuration Manager, and cloud technologies • Participation in the automation and standardization of deployment processes (including Windows Autopilot, enrollment, and provisioning) • Analysis and optimization of security, compliance, and performance settings to ensure stable and secure operation • Support of 1st and 2nd level support with complex malfunctions as well as carrying out technical analyses • Further development of patch, update, lifecycle, and configuration processes • Participation in the introduction of new Windows versions and modern operating models • Development of scripts and automations with PowerShell as well as with C#/.NET if required • Participation in IT projects, tests, and continuous improvement initiatives Profile ### • Completed training in computer science or comparable higher qualification • Experience in Windows Client Engineering, Workplace Engineering, or Endpoint Management, ideally in a senior function • Experience in large and complex IT environments with several thousand managed clients • Very good knowledge of Windows 10/11, Client Security, Application Deployment, Patch, and Lifecycle Management • Practical experience with Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Configuration Manager, Co-Management, and modern endpoint management architectures • Knowledge of Windows Autopilot, Microsoft Entra Join, Hybrid Join, as well as cloud-based deployment and operating models • Very good PowerShell knowledge; knowledge in C#/.NET is a plus • Understanding of workplace security topics such as Compliance Policies, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Conditional Access, and Hardening • Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented way of working as well as strong advisory competence • Very good German and English skills mandatory, French or Italian an advantage Benefits ### • Responsible and varied activity in a technically exciting environment • Access to most modern technologies and tools • Remote possibility
