Then join our dynamic analysis team and contribute to the commercial success of BKW. Quantitative Commodity Analyst (all) # Your tasks • In close collaboration with the trading desks and desk analysts, you design, implement, calibrate and maintain analysis tools and price forecasting models for European electricity futures markets. For this, you use modern database and software development environments • You are responsible for the operational exploitation of the models and the Best-View configurations of the models • You monitor market news and regulations and verify model performance through backtesting and benchmarking • You develop the model portfolio and ensure documentation as well as lifecycle management • With your models and analyses, you support commercial decisions and participate in strategic and cross-functional projects in a team Your expertise • You possess a university degree in natural sciences or quantitative economics as well as ideally at least three years of relevant professional experience • You distinguish yourself through in-depth knowledge in data science and modeling as well as through practical implementation experience • You have programming experience, preferably with Python and/or .NET, as well as knowledge in quantitative IT applications and SQL databases • You are familiar with electricity markets and the economic relations of commercial positions • You communicate very well in German and English, convey complex content in an understandable manner and like working in a team We do not wish to receive applications from personnel service providers.
