Communications Officer - Staff Thematic Cooperation - DEZA

• You design all communication activities of the Thematic Cooperation of DEZA and coordinate implementation with internal and external partners.
• You represent the Thematic Cooperation department in a matrix structure with other DEZA communications officers, who are coordinated by the superior Communications Management unit.
• You anticipate events relevant to the public and identify current, innovative topics for wide-reaching communication.
• You support your supervisors in the strategic further development of communication (internal and external).
• You advise your operationally active colleagues in public-facing, multimedia communication.
• You work independently in the staff of the Thematic Cooperation and represent the department in various editorial committees.

• You have a university degree in media and communication science or several years of relevant professional experience.
• You know how to simplify complicated topics and prepare them in an understandable and attractive way for various target groups and media.
• You possess excellent editorial skills, organizational talent, and a great interest in development cooperation.
• You are characterized by above-average political intuition, high initiative, as well as your creative, dynamic, and collegial personality.
• You have excellent knowledge of two official languages and English.
