A Head of Home Support Department

The Freiburgische Rote Kreuz (SRK) is a 1909 founded cantonal association and member of the Schweizerisches Rotes Kreuz. Our association employs around 160 employees, is supported by 500 volunteers and is active in the areas of health, migration and social affairs. We are committed to all people in need and adhere to the principles of the Red Cross. We are looking for A Head of Home Support Department (member of the management) You are responsible for the administration of all services in the area of care and support at home for seniors as well as for the support of families. This area of responsibility includes in particular the Rotkreuz-Fahrdienst, home visits, the Rotkreuz-Notruf, relief for relatives, supervised meals and the emergency care of sick children through the Rotkäppchen-Dienst. In this function, you will be supported by a team of around ten specialized, motivated and experienced employees. This team is supplemented by around 30 external employees who work in the relief service for relatives and in the Rotkäppchen-Dienst for childcare at home in emergency situations. Of the around 500 volunteers engaged in the institution, around 200 are involved in the activities of your department. As a member of the management, you contribute to the operational decisions of the institution and are responsible for them towards the affected employees, volunteers and partners. Main tasks: - To lead the activities according to the goals and guidelines of the institution - Leadership and administration of the service in the areas (organization, finance, team management) - Promotion and further development of the activities towards the public, authorities and other partners - Building, maintaining and developing a network of private and institutional partners within the framework of the various activities in the area of care and support at home - Administration and further development of the cantonal and national mandates while complying with the specified requirements. Sought profile: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in the field of social affairs, management or an equivalent recognized education - Proven experience in the operational management of a comparable activity - Pronounced team and sense of responsibility - Native language French or German with very good knowledge of the other language - Mastery of common IT and administrative tools - Natural leadership qualities and several years of experience in leading a multidisciplinary team - Social competence as well as sovereign communication with colleagues and external partners.
