Operations/Plant Manager in the pharmaceutical industry 80-100% (m/f/d)

The place of work for this position is in Visp, Switzerland. Eligible applicants and their families are provided with relocation support if required. As an Operations/Plant Manager (m/f/d), you are responsible for the technical and logistical processing of production campaigns in a production facility for the manufacture of bioconjugates. You are a member of an interdisciplinary team and participate in project teams that deal with investments as well as the optimization of processes, activities, and systems. This position requires continuous presence on-site. Personal cooperation enables close, timely collaboration and the technical precision required for the manufacture of medicinal products according to the highest quality and safety standards. Our complete list of local benefits can be found below: Benefits in Visp Your tasks: Involvement in the planning and engineering phase of projects to comply with technical specifications for the plants and to ensure a successful production campaign; Organizational and operational support, as well as monitoring of production campaigns, to ensure production and safety also outside of normal working hours; Creation of cGMP-compliant documentation in cooperation with the plant team leader, research/development, and the operational biotechnologists; Plant technical instruction and production-specific training of operators during production; Control of the seamless adherence to operating procedures and manufacturing protocols, as well as intervention in case of deviations; Support for the exchange of information and communication within the operations group; Continuous improvement of plants, processes, and workflows (6S, Lean Six Sigma, KAIZEN) while complying with safety, hygiene, environmental, and quality requirements. What we are looking for: Completed technical education or further training (vocational training, higher professional examination, Bachelor, Master); Production experience in the manufacture of chemical or biotechnological products, or in the food industry, would be advantageous; Ideally, initial experience in an ISO and/or GMP production environment; You have basic knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word) and are tech-savvy regarding electronic systems and applications; Very good German skills in speaking and writing, as well as English skills; Readiness to perform on-call duty must be present.
