Playgroup Leader / Substitution

The ABSM (Ausbildungs- und Beratungsstelle für Migrantinnen und Migranten) has been offering German and integration courses for young adults and women with childcare, as well as playgroups with early German language promotion, for over 20 years.

Playgroup Leader ##

Activities: ###

• Recognize stages of second language acquisition in the language performance of children
• Develop age-appropriate stimuli for the promotion of the German language
• Learning through play - promoting the creative skills of the children, singing or making music, storytelling, etc.
• Applying different methods and games
• Planning preparations that promote the group process
• Guaranteeing the safety of the children
• Regular professional exchange with female colleagues at ABSM and external female colleagues
• Assistance with administrative activities (including maintaining attendance lists)

Requirements / Education: ###

• Completed FABE course or training as a playgroup leader or training in the field of childcare / child education
• German as a native language or very good written and oral German skills at level C1 (including understanding the dialect)
• Ability to empathize with children of different socio-cultural backgrounds, to communicate with them and to guide them into shared play
• Willingness to engage with the situation of children from immigrant families
• Ability to recognize the strengths and weaknesses of the children and to guarantee adequate promotion
• Patience, organizational skills, independence, resilience, teamwork skills
• The place of work is located in Laufen (BL) near the station
