Purchasing Team Leader We are recruiting, on behalf of our client, a Purchasing Team Leader, to lead a team of technical buyers and actively contribute to the purchasing strategy of a Swiss industrial company recognized for its high value-added technical projects. This position is intended for an experienced professional wishing to combine management, strategic steering, and proximity to operations. Acting as a true link between Management, technical teams, and suppliers, you play a key role in the company's industrial performance. Your role As Purchasing Team Leader, you are responsible for the organization, performance, and development of your team. You support buyers in their daily activities, assist them in the most strategic negotiations, and ensure the skill development of each member. Your role is not limited to management: you participate directly in decisions that commit the company, by defining purchasing orientations and securing partnerships with key suppliers. You work in close collaboration with the Technical Office, Industrialization, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Sales teams in order to integrate purchasing challenges from the early phases of projects and to guarantee the availability of the most suitable technical solutions. On a daily basis, you arbitrate priorities, support sensitive projects, and ensure the achievement of objectives regarding quality, costs, deadlines, and risk management. Your daily routine You lead and develop a team of technical buyers, creating an environment that promotes autonomy, responsibility, and the sharing of best practices. You define purchasing strategies by product families and identify levers to sustainably improve the company's competitiveness. You participate in development projects in collaboration with technical teams, providing your expertise on the choice of suppliers, industrial risk analysis, and optimization opportunities. You manage the most strategic calls for tender and intervene directly in high-stakes negotiations, regarding both technical and commercial aspects. You develop lasting relationships with industrial partners, conduct supplier visits, and perform audits when necessary in order to secure supplies and guarantee the expected level of performance. You monitor purchasing indicators, analyze supplier performance, and implement necessary improvement plans in collaboration with various departments. Finally, you maintain constant monitoring of markets, new technologies, and industrial developments in order to anticipate future needs and support the company's development strategy. Your profile You have a higher technical education, ideally supplemented by a specialization in purchasing, Supply Chain, management, or engineering. You have proven experience in industrial purchasing, supplemented by a first successful experience in management or team coordination. You master complex industrial environments and are comfortable in exchanges with design offices, project teams, and international suppliers. You are recognized for your leadership, your ability to unite teams, and your aptitude to accompany change. A seasoned negotiator, you know how to defend your company's interests while building lasting relationships with your partners. Your analytical spirit, your ability to make decisions, and your strategic vision allow you to intervene effectively on subjects with high technical and economic stakes.
