What you can contribute

• Analyze and evaluate foreign armed forces and their engagements
• Monitor and evaluate the evolution of the military situation in the short, medium, and long term within the assigned area of responsibility
• Guarantee in-depth knowledge of all data and facts necessary for the continuous evaluation of the evolution of the situation
• Locate and evaluate military actions at the operational and military-strategic levels
• Draft, within the framework of the defined responsibilities, reports and documentation, prepare and present situation briefings as well as give specialized presentations within the framework of intelligence dissemination
• Maintain contacts with the beneficiaries of the services and the entities having intelligence needs

What makes you unique

• University degree (Master)
• Excellent analytical and writing skills combined with critical thinking
• Broad military knowledge, ideally combined with an officer rank
• Continuing education in the field of intelligence and defense technologies
• Relevant professional experience
• Good active knowledge of at least a second official language and, if possible, passive knowledge of a third official language, as well as good knowledge of English

The Operations Command (cdmt Op) is responsible for all operations and all military engagements of the Swiss Army. The cdmt Op includes notably the Air Force, the Land Forces, the four territorial divisions, the SWISSINT Competence Center, the Special Forces Command as well as the Military Police. Approximately 40 % of the approximately 2500 employees are employed in the civilian sector, from engineers to analysts to aircraft mechanics.

The Swiss Army employs more than 9000 employees in four military professions and approximately 200 civilian professions, across 110 sites throughout Switzerland. It also ensures succession by training apprentices in more than 30 trades.
