The Thierstein district in the Solothurn Schwarzbubenland comprises 12 municipalities with around 16’000 inhabitants. The Soziale Dienste Thierstein are responsible for the provision of statutory social assistance, voluntary social counseling, as well as for managing child and adult protection mandates.

Your tasks include

Economic and personal assistance according to social legislation; Counseling and support of clients of various nations in different life situations; Budget calculations, payment of material support, and assertion of priority benefits according to social law and ordinance; Placement in education, employment, and integration programs; Cooperation with specialists, social institutions, and authorities

Your profile

You are an empathetic personality who impresses through flexibility, resilience, and positive thinking. You also possess

Diploma in Social Work or adequate training; Experience in statutory social work as well as sound knowledge of social assistance legislation and social insurance; Enjoyment of responsibility and complex situations, networked way of thinking, independent action; Sense of economy and enjoyment of challenging quality work; Knowledge of MS-Office programs (knowledge of KLIBnet is an advantage); Efficient and correct file management
