Senior Software Engineer Acquiring & Merchants (w/m/d) 80-100%

In the Solution Team Digital Commerce, you will develop and operate central systems in the acquiring and merchant environment of PostFinance - one of the largest card payment providers in Switzerland. You ensure that merchants can accept payments easily and securely. In an agile environment, you design cloud-native solutions that combine stability and innovation. In this way, you contribute to providing future-proof payment services for thousands of customers. What you can achieve: You develop and operate highly available backend systems for business-critical payment services and realize modern web applications for their operation and administration; You specifically apply your experience in complex business logic, performance optimization, and resilient systems; You design the architecture with Domain Driven Design, further develop our technologies, and shape technical decisions even across team boundaries; You are responsible for the entire lifecycle from conception to operation including 3rd-level support (no on-call duty, voluntary participation possible if interested); You work closely with our specialist departments and translate complex requirements into viable technical solutions; You promote professional exchange within the team and support less experienced colleagues in their development. What you bring with you: Higher education in computer science (FH/Uni) or comparable qualification; Several years of experience in software development in the payments environment as well as ideally experience in the acquiring and merchant area; Practical knowledge in Java, Spring Boot and SQL as well as sound frontend knowledge in Angular, TypeScript and HTML5; experience with cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes, GitOps and observability is an advantage; High quality standards and experience with automated testing as well as enjoyment in the sustainable further development of complex systems; Familiarity with distributed systems, resilient architectures as well as performance and scaling topics; knowledge in Oracle DB, OpenSearch, Kafka, JMS or Camunda as a plus; Team-oriented, analytical and solution-oriented way of working with the ability to jointly develop viable solutions; Very good German skills as well as good English skills in speaking and writing. For this position, the annual salary for a 100% workload is between CHF 130-000 and 145-000.
